*Now Looking for JICA Volunteers (Spring of Fiscal Year 2017)
==================================================================
Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is now looking for volunteers who are interested in living in developing countries and working together with local communities to promote mutual understanding and make use of their skills and experiences.
This is a National Government project implemented by JICA.
■Qualification
- Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers/Youth Volunteers for Nikkei Communities:
Those who have Japanese nationality and are aged between 20 and 39.
-Senior Volunteers/Senior Volunteers for Nikkei Communities:
Those who have Japanese nationality and are aged between 40 to 69.
■Application Period
Friday March 31, 2017 to Wednesday May 10, 2017
■Information Sessions
Sessions will start in late March in the Kansai region (Six prefectures).

*Enjoy Cherry Blossoms in Full Bloom on the Okawa River Sakura Cruise!
==================================================================
The Okawa Sakura Cruise is currently operating for a limited time! Come and admire the cherry blossoms along Okawa River from the cruising boat. This annual spring cruise allows you to enjoy the cherry blossoms from a different and rare perspective.
■Date and Time: (Currently operating!) Until April 17 From 10:00am to 7:00pm
■Admission fee: Adults: 1,200 yen, Elementary school students and younger: Free (One child per one adult will be free. From the second child onwards, 600 yen for each child)
■Venue: Hachikenya River Station in Hachikenyahama (The nearest station: Temmabashi station, Keihan Line/Subway Tanimachi Line)
“Aqua Metropolis Osaka, Opening of the Riverside 2017 - Cherry Blossom Festa in Hachikenya” has also started! The annual Spring Festa is now taking place in and around Hachikenyahama.

*【World Autism Awareness Day】The Donjon of Osaka Castle, Tsutenkaku, and the Tempozan Ferris Wheel will be lit up blue!

Every year on April 2, people celebrate World Autism Awareness Day, as declared by the United Nations. In Japan, the week from April 2 to April 8 is designated as “Developmental Disability Awareness Week”.(Provisional translation) During this period, various events are held nationwide to raise awareness about different developmental disabilities. In Osaka Prefecture, major buildings will be lit up blue in accordance with “World Autism Awareness Day”

■Date and Time: Sunset on Sunday April 2, 2017 (Around 6:30pm) to 11:00pm
* Tempozan Ferris Wheel will be lit up until 10:00pm
■Venue: The Donjon of Osaka Castle, Tsutenkaku, and Tempozan Ferris Wheel
