* Festival of the lights in OSAKA 2016

In its fourth year， the ”Festival of the lights in OSAKA” now provides 19 area programs of light within the prefecture to give color to winter in Osaka.
The core programs are the ”Mido-suji Illumination”， which was recognized in January 2015 as having ”the most illuminated trees on a single street”， and ”OSAKA Hikari-Renaissance”， which is held in Nakanoshima.
For one of the core programs， the ”Mido-suji Illumination”， the whole of the four kilometer-long Midosuji Avenue is divided into eight areas and decorated in different colors. The colors express the different stories of these areas， from ”Kita” (Northern area)， Semba (Central area)， and down to ”Minami” (Southern area) respectively.
For the other core program， the ”OSAKA Hikari-Renaissance 2016”， the whole of Nakanoshima is lit up in fantastic colors. (*Venues and periods vary according to each event.)

■Venue:Midosuji Avenue (From the intersection in front of Hanshin Department Store Building to Namba Nishiguchi intersection)
-OSAKA Hikari-Renaissance 2016
■Date and Time:Wednesday， December 14 to Sunday， December 25， 2016， 5:00pm to 10:00 pm
■Venue: Around Osaka City Hall to Nakanoshima Park

* German Christmas Market Osaka 2016

During the German Christmas Market Osaka 2016， now in its 15th year， the Shin Umeda City venue is lit up by a gorgeously illuminated Christmas tree.
Various products such as Christmas ornaments， folk craft articles， Christmas presents for your precious family， as well as hot drinks and food will be sold by the ”German” salespersons.
Be sure not to miss the opportunity to enjoy an authentic German Christmas Market in Osaka.

■Time:12:00 pm to 9:00 pm (Monday to Thursday)， 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm( Friday)， 11:00 am to 10:00 pm (Saturday， Sunday and National Holidays)
